    Where has the summer gone?

Where has the summer gone? For that matter, where has FALL gone? We didn't have much of a fall here in MN this year. It's been windy, cold, rainy, generally not very nice at all. The summer was one of the hottest on record. Rainfall was below average. Because of this, the leaves started falling a couple of weeks ago, and with the high winds the last few days, are gone.

Now, the forecast is calling for the possibility of flurries on Wednesday and Thursday, with a low of 26 on Wednesday :(    A couple of weeks ago, Linda and I already had to use the trainers, and have started talking about the need to bring the bikes indoors again this week. Last year, we rode well into November.

This is way, way to early for winter, and I'm just not ready for it.

    Argh!

Yep strange year, early spring sort of, hot summer, cool fall...... lots of wooly bears with really wide bands....hmmmmm

I hope this link works. I have a couple more I have not mapped yet.  Just getting the hang of routeslip.  We ended up just running the Sunrise Prairire trail north to cty 17 and back to forest lake tonight with, I added another 10 to get to 35 miles.

I have one that goes into Marine on the St. Croix with about 800+ feet of climbing if you interested!

Looks like a great route, e!  Yes, I'd like to see the Marine on St. Croix route too, if you could share.

    Thanks!

Re: Where has the summer gone?

Try these two the second is a bit longer at around 40 miles

The weather today was a bit depressing Sad

My sources say it should warm up late next week.  I'll be in Brainard for work and will take the bike with, may get a couple of hours on the Bunyan  Big Smile

Be very happy y'all weren't riding with me on Saturday! I did a 30 mile "Death March" ride! 26 degrees and a 25 mph wind! Windchill was 7.2F! I froze my Ney-ney's off! It was so cold on that ride that I got brain freeze from the air going in through my nose![:'(]

A Bad day on the bike beats most other days, except for a good day on the bike!
