I tell you what! She did her first traffic ride today, like I said in the title. It wasn't long, but she did a five miler today. You have to remember, she lost a piece of her right lung a month ago, so I am happy as a pig in.....well, you know! She's had issues with cancer and among other things had a tumor removed from her right ear canal several years ago, sacrificing her right inner ear. She can't balance a regular bike any more and is currently ridig an adult trike. The Mrs is finally getting over the self conciousness of riding what she calls a "Granny Trike". I'm quite proud of her progress though and especially the traffic riding part. She actually wanted to do more than we planned today! Good for her!

That's a great story, Tom! I don't think I know the story about her lung though... that sounds really scary. Was this a cancer that started out somewhere else and spread?

The lung mass turned out to be pneumonic in nature, but was calcified and inhibiting respiration, so it was trewated as if it were cancer. Otherwise, the respiratory problems would have gotten worse and worse over time as the calcifacation grew larger.
